Whether you’re just setting pen to paper or you’re deep into writing a story or poem, Ashdale Writers Group is the place to hone your craft, meet fellow writers, share your stories and receive feedback.

New members are always welcome! Meetings are held every other Saturday on our 2nd floor.

Stories, songs, rhymes, and activities for children ages 5 and under with their parents/caregivers, followed by stay and play. Stay and play is an opportunity for children and their parents to socialize, play, and have fun! Large groups/day camps must register in advance.

This is a free income tax clinic for the local community! Clinics are hosted by Agincourt branch in partnership with the CRA's Community Volunteer Income Tax Program. Our volunteers will process simple 2023 income tax returns for low-income seniors, students, families and individuals, and newcomers to Canada. 

*Registration is required and spots are limited. Register by visiting the 2nd floor Reference Desk or by calling the branch at 416-396-8943 

Toronto Public Library is committed is accessibility. Please call or email us if you are Deaf or have a disability and would like to request an accommodation to participate in this program. The Drama Club will teach performance strategies through theatre games, improv, and practicing voice and movement. Participants are welcome to take part in a community performance on May 25th. No classes on March 30th (Easter Weekend) and May 18th (Victoria Day Long Weekend). 

10am -11am (for children ages 6-8) 

11am-12pm  (for children ages 9-12)

Want to enjoy vegetables you've grown yourself in your own backyard or on your balcony? A Toronto Master Gardener will lead a demonstration and show how to get started to grow your own vegetables. Get some tips and learn techniques for successful growing. At the end of the demo, vegetable seeds or seedlings will be given out to attendees, while supplies last.

About the presenter: Toronto Master Gardeners have been advising and helping solve problems for Toronto gardeners since January 1988. Toronto Master Gardeners have successfully completed university horticultural studies and must meet ongoing continuing education requirements to make sure that advice to gardeners is based on current horticultural knowledge.

Drama Club for Kids! Hosted by The Community Arts Guild  

Starting Saturday, March 23, and going on every Saturday until Saturday, May 25 – Note: There will be no classes on Sat March 30 (Easter long weekend) & Sat May 18 (Victoria Day long weekend) 

Sessions at 10-11am will be for children ages 6-8 years old. 

Sessions at 11am-12pm will be for children ages 9-12 years old.  

The Drama Club is hosted by local arts organization, Community Arts Guild. Participants will learn performance strategies through theatre games, improv, and practicing voice and movement techniques. Participants are welcome to take part in a local community performance offsite on Saturday, May 25. 

Limit of 15 participants per session. Registration is required. Please call Morningside branch at 416-396-8881 to register.
