Discover the festive art of Henna. 

Led by artist Hina Yasir, you will learn about its history and fascinating traditions from different countries. 

From 4:30 to 5:30 PM, you will practice designs in a guided session. 

From 5:30 to 6:30 PM, drop in any time to have henna designs applied by Hina Yasir. 

This is a drop-in program for teens only in the Youth Hub. No registration required. All materials are provided while supplies last.

CapCut is a popular video editing tool. If your looking for tools to boost your social media channel, promote a small business, then CapCut is a great program for you.

Loaded with free templates and tools to make the process of creating and editing videos easier than ever. In the class we'll explore some of the common tools and best practices of the program and give ample time to edit a fun little video using some of the many clips, templates and other resources.

New to 3D Printing and Design? Come and watch and learn from TPL Staff on how a 3D printer works in the Digital Innovation Hub.

Class instruction includes:

  1. How to prepare a 3D design file for print and understand common tools and settings within the 3D Printers.
  2. How to find resources such as already made 3D designs in popular databases
  3. Overview of different 3D applications and software

Followed by the introduction to printing, class participants will be given a hands-on workshop where they learn how to create simple 3D designed key chain and become familiar with design tools using Autodesk Tinkercad.

In this program, delve into the cultural significance of bamboo in Asian art and learn how to depict its graceful form on paper. You will explore various brush strokes and blending techniques unique to watercolour painting.

Gayageum Music Concert

Gayageum Music Concert

Experience the enchanting sounds of the Gayageum, a traditional Korean zither-like string instrument, presented by Roa Lee. In celebration of Asian Heritage Month, the concert will include classic, jazz and pop renditions with a 25-stringed Gayageum, while also showcasing the authentic charm of traditional Korean music on the 12-stringed instrument. A Q&A session following the performance will provide an opportunity to delve deeper into Korean music.

GarageBand is a fully equipped music creation studio right inside your Mac — with a complete sound library that includes instruments, presets for guitar and voice, and an incredible selection of session drummers and percussionists. 

Garageband is an easy to use application and extremely useful for recording interviews, making podcasts, making sound collages, creating documentaries, recording songs etc.

In the class we'll understand the fundamentals of the program so when you're ready to start your new project, you'll hit the ground running.

An advisor from Toronto Small Business Enterprise Centre (TSBEC) will present an overview of information related to the business planning process, evaluating a business idea, financing, marketing planning, business structures, regulatory requirements, and more.
