Eclipse 2024 Solar Viewing: Look at the Surface of the Sun

Join astronomers from the Dunlap Institute and safely look at the surface of the sun! Astronomers will bring telescopes equipped with solar filters. An astronomer will explain the scientific principles behind the phenomena on view, what to expect during a solar eclipse and ways to safely look at the sun.

This program takes place outside. In the case of bad weather, an alternative eclipse-related program will take place.

This program is leading up to a once-in-a-lifetime solar eclipse taking place on April 8, 2024. A limited number of eclipse glasses will be available for program attendees.  No registration required.
