Beeton Hall

Join astronomers from the Dunlap Institute to learn about the geometry of eclipses. Learn about the positions of the earth, sun and moon during different types of eclipses. Then, create your own scale model of the earth-moon-sun system in order to understand the shadows cast during an eclipse. All materials will be provided.

This program is leading up to a once in a lifetime solar eclipse taking place on April 8, 2024. A limited number of eclipse glasses will be available for program attendees.
