Volunteers will help prepare current year's income tax returns as part of the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) for low-income individuals & families, seniors, students, and newcomers.

Do you need help with your tax return?

If you have a low or modest income and a simple tax situation, volunteers at a free tax clinic may be able to complete your tax return for you.  Registration is required. To register, please call 416-396-8890. Please note that volunteer capacity is limited.

The clinic will be held on:

Mondays, April 29 - 6:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m.

Volunteers may provide English and Chinese services.

This program is in partnership with the Canada Revenue Agency's Community Volunteer Income Tax Program.

Join John Stapleton of Open Policy Ontario at the Riverdale branch for a five-part program series on low-income retirement planning.

In Part 5, you’ll learn about other tax credits and benefits for seniors, people with disabilities, and caregivers, including the disability tax credit, the Canada caregiver credit, and the home accessibility tax credit.

Registration is recommended; registered attendees will receive reminders about the program(s) and will be notified of any changes. Drop-ins are also welcome. For more information, please visit the Riverdale branch or call 416-393-7720.

Scholarships, grants, and bursaries are available for high school, college, and university students, and you don’t need perfect grades! This presentation will help empower attendees with information to find and win money for postsecondary education.
