Excel 2: Do More with Your Data DATE CHANGE

An introductory class on Microsoft Excel for beginners with little or no Excel experience. Build on your basic Microsoft Excel skills and learn to use Excel data effectively.

In this second session you will:

  1. - Practice data entry and formatting
  2. - Manipulate rows and columns
  3. - Create and copy simple formulas 
  4. - Convert data to a Table then sort and filter
  5. - Create your first chart

Upon completion of this class students will be able to get more from their data using tables, filters and charts.

Pre-requisites:  Excel Basics Part 1 or equivalent knowledge. Basic mouse and keyboard skills required.

Computers for Beginners is a series of classes designed to take a learner with none, or very few skills, from zero to a solid grounding in absolute basics. Each class is set up to connect with the previous and next class in a series format.

Prerequisites: Some computer experience is required; beginner mouse and keyboard skills are required.  

In this class you will:
-Review key concepts learned in Excel Basics 1
-Insert rows and columns
-Fill a range
-Enter data and resize columns
-Freeze and unfreeze columns and rows
-Create a table
-Create a chart

· Learn the basic function and design of Excel files

· Practice basic data entry for text, numbers, and basic functions: Sum, AutoSum and Average

· Create and save your first workbook and worksheets

 Upon completion of this class students will be able to use Excel at a basic level.

Learn the fundamentals of video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro, an industry standard video editing software on PC and Mac. Basic video editing techniques such as using transitions and titles, adding audio, cutting and splicing, and mastering the timeline will be taught.

This class is for beginners but assumes you have mouse navigation and keyboarding skills.

The recommended age for participation is 13+. Computers will be provided.
