Need help setting up your library eBooks? Have questions about your tablet, phone, laptop, email or eBooks? Register for a time slot and a librarian will be available to help you with your technical questions.

Learn some of the basics of Adobe InDesign by creating a small magazine (zine) with some commonly used tools. The tutorial will cover layout, text controls, images, and preparing your project to print.

This class is for beginners but assumes you have mouse navigation and keyboarding skills.

Computers will be provided for this class.

Learn how 3D printers work and how you can print at the Toronto Public Library's Digital Innovation Hubs. This class includes hands-on instruction with slicing software used to prepare your 3D object file for printing on a Prusa 3D Printer.

This class is intended for children ages 8-12.

For people who have basic internet skills, and want to learn how to shop online with confidence.  Whether you need groceries or home appliances, almost anything can be purchased and delivered to your home.  We teach you how to find goods and services online, look for customer reviews or consumer testing results and provide tips and guidelines on how to shop safely, securely and with confidence.   Resource handout provided.

Join us for an introductory lesson and learn about the most common tools. We'll explore the workspace and enhance images while investigating tools such as crop, levels, colour balance and more. See how an image can be altered and repaired using patch tools such as the clone and healing brush tools. We'll also dive deep into the world of layers and how you can manage them for those really unique and fun projects.

Basic computing skills are required. Keyboard and mouse skills are required.

Coding with Python I

Python is an open source programming language that is used for creating web applications, web content, mathematics and system scripting. In this course you will learn how python code works and be given time to practice. Prior coding knowledge is not necessary for this introductory class. Key takeaways will include a working knowledge of variables, loops, conditional arguments and much more.

This class is for beginners but assumes you have a basic understanding of computer skills -- basically, if you can use a word processor or surf the web, you can learn Python!
