The Youth Volunteer & Job Fair hosted by TPL is an all-day event taking place at Albert Campbell Library to provide opportunities and information to youth from ages 13-24. There will be multiple volunteer organizations and companies attending that will have their own information tables and representatives ready to share application/registration info with youth present. The organizations will be sharing speeches and youth or parents attending will have the opportunity to go around the tables, ask questions, and learn about new volunteer and job opportunities in the city from the representatives of the organizations present. There will also be games and prizes to be won during the Fair. This Fair is perfect for youth looking for volunteer or job opportunities in the community. All youth are encouraged to attend this incredible event and explore new opportunities they might not have known about!

Program is in the Learning Centre.  Drop-in only.

Join the workshop conducted by the Labour Education Centre to learn about best practices for getting ready for a job interview. This workshop will present the different types of interviews, standard interview questions, behavioral questions, and how to handle job offers/rejections.

Build on your basic Microsoft Excel skills and learn to use Excel data effectively. Learn how to

- Sort and filter the data in tables
- Learn the basics of Pivot Tables
- Create and format charts

Upon completion of this class students will be able to get more from their data using Pivot tables and formulas.

Join ACCES Employment to understand the purpose and structure of an interview as well as the different types of interviews and interview questions that you may encounter. The session will also cover what to do before, during and after an interview to make the best impression.
