Welcome to Dystopia Book Club, a place to discuss the revealing predictions and interpretations for our world in speculative fiction and science fiction.

We will be discussing How High We Go In The Dark by Sequoia Nagamatsu. The title is available as an eAudiobook and eBook through Toronto Public Library's OverDrive eBooks & eAudiobooks collection. When the TPL website is back online, a link to the print book will be added.

This is an online event. We will connect on Jitsi Meet, an online meeting platform. Registration is limited and specific instructions on how to access Jitsi Meet will be sent to the registrants one day before the book club meeting.

This is a BRAND NEW mystery book club for wise elders who enjoy reading short classic, popular, Canadian, paranormal, British, and other types of amazing mysteries. Our GOAL is to have fun, discuss, and to enjoy the reading journey together.

Venez rejoindrez le club de lecture pour échanger vos impressions, pour analyser, avec le regard d'autres lecteurs, ce qui vous a marqué, pour faire de belles découvertes littéraires. 

On se réunit le jeudi 2 mai pour découvrir « La colère et l'envie » d'Alice Renard. Le livre sera disponible en prêt à la Bibliothèque centrale de North York, Language Literature & Fine Arts, 3ième étage, à partir du 4 avril, 2024.

Join us at Lillian H. Smith for Children’s Book Club. This month’s book is New Kid by Jerry Craft, the winner of the 2020 Newbery Medal and the 2019 Kirkus Prize for Young Readers’ Literature. 

Seventh grader Jordan Banks loves nothing more than drawing cartoons about his life. But instead of sending him to the art school of his dreams, his parents enroll him in a prestigious private school known for its academics, where Jordan is one of the few kids of colour in his entire grade. 

Ages 9+.
