Want to learn to sew or would like a refresher on how to use a sewing machine? Our intro to sewing course will cover the basics of threading the machine, basic stitches and more. We will be creating a small pouch. All materials will be provided.

Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required for this class and begins April 29st, 2024 at 12:30pm.
Note: Your spot will not be guaranteed after 5 minutes of the start of the program.

Class is held in the 2nd floor eLearning Lab.

Never picked up knitting needles before? Need to refresh your skills? In this class you will learn the basics of knitting - how to start and end a project, and to do a knit and purl stitch, as well as how to choose a pattern and yarn. All supplies will be provided.

Registration is required. Registration begins on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 @ 12:30 pm.

Learn how to use the Brother Persona PRS100 at the Fabrication Studio! This class will walk you through the basics of mounting fabric onto the embroidery frames and threading the machine. This course is mandatory in order to book the embroidery machine and will be held in the Fabrication Studio on the 2nd floor.

Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required and begins April 30th at 12:30 pm.

Amigurumi is the craft of crocheting small stuffed toys, such as animals, play food, or dolls. This workshop will introduce basic amigurumi technique by crocheting an amigurumi ball.

This is an in-person program. Children under 12 years old must be supervised by an adult.

Learn the cover stitch in our intermediate serger class! This class will teach you how to thread the machine for the cover stitch, and what the cover stitch can be used for. **Prerequisite: Introduction to Serger Sewing**

(Priority will be given to former attendees of the introductory class. Those without the credentials will be asked to forfeit their tickets. Taking this class does not grant new permission to use the library's serger.)
