Photo Editing with Adobe Lightroom Classic

Learn all about Adobe Lightroom Classic, an industry standard tool used by photographers to organize, retouch, and share their work. We will focus on learning the workflow of the software, covering topics such as importing photos, RAW vs JPEG files, file organization, retouching and correcting our images, and exporting and sharing our finished work.

Note: you will need to have your own working copy of Adobe Lightroom Classic for this class. The instructor will be using the Creative Cloud 2024 version. It is okay if you have a different version but there may be some small differences.

This online workshop will take place online using the Webex video conferencing application.

Adobe InDesign is the industry-leading page design and layout app lets you create, preflight, and publish beautiful documents for print and digital media. InDesign CC has everything you need to make posters, books, digital magazines, eBooks, interactive PDFs, and more. In this beginner's class, we will work on a small magazine utilizing the common tools in InDesign. 

Note: you will need to have your own working copy of Adobe InDesign for this class.

Blender is a powerful multi-faceted 3D Design application used by professionals the world over. In this introductory workshop, participants will get a look at the Blender user interface and the basic tools for 3D modelling and mesh manipulation.

Prior to the class, participants will need to download and install Blender onto their personal computers. This workshop will take place online using Webex, a free video conferencing application.

Python is an open source programming language that is used for creating web applications, web content, mathematics and system scripting. In this online course you will learn how python code works and given time to practice. Prior coding knowledge is not necessary for this introductory class. Key takeaways will include a working knowledge of variables, loops, conditional arguments and much more.

This class is for beginners but assumes you have a basic understanding of computer skills -- basically, if you can use a word processor or surf the web, you can learn Python!

Prior to the class, participants will need to download and install Python and VS Code onto their personal computers (installation guides provided after registration).

Registration is limited and specific instructions including information about software installation will be provided.
